Using the trusted Puppy Start Right™ curriculum developed by Dr. Ken Martin and Debbie Martin, your certified instructor, Heather Lawson, will help you turn everyday puppy chaos into practical life skills, calm habits, and real-world manners.

Instead of simply teaching “cues,” we focus on helping your puppy learn HOW to live successfully in your home and community.

• Calm & Everyday Manners: Learn how to guide your puppy toward calmer behaviour at home and around distractions so you can enjoy life together instead of constantly managing chaos.

• Loose Leash Foundations: Start building the skills that help walks become less pulling and frustration… and more enjoyable for both ends of the leash.

• Reliable Recall: Teach your puppy that coming when called is worth it — even when life gets exciting.

• Greeting Guests Politely: No more launching at visitors or turning the front door into total mayhem. We’ll show you how to build calmer greetings and “go to your spot” skills.

• Puppy Biting & Mouthy Behaviour: Learn practical strategies to survive the shark-tooth stage without losing your sanity.

• Settling & Waiting: Help your puppy develop patience, self-control, and the ability to relax instead of always being “GO GO GO.”

• Handling, Grooming & Vet Prep: Create positive experiences for grooming, handling, nail trims, and vet visits before they become stressful struggles.

• Potty Training & Home Alone Skills: Get guidance on preventing common puppy problems before they become long-term habits.
