HOW DOES AN ONLINE CLASS WORK?

Online classes are hosted by the Fenzi Dog Sports Academy:http://www.fenzidogsportsacademy.com/

Classes are composed of posted course material (including written lectures, images and videos) and community forums.

There are 3 levels from which to pick; Gold, Silver or Bronze level.

Each level has access to lecture material and instructional videos.

Gold members are able to post video of their own training sessions and receive feedback from the instructor.

Both Gold and Silver members can view the forums and submit questions.

Bronze members have a read-only access to the forums (this means you can see everything, but can’t comment)

This course brings together the best of Therapy Dog preparation and Canine Good Citizen/Neighbour training, creating a strong foundation for both ends of the leash.
Whether your long-term goal is to become a registered Therapy Dog Team, to earn your CGC/CGN certificate, or simply to have a calm, reliable companion at home and in the community, this class will set you up for success.
We’ll focus on essential skills such as polite greetings, loose-leash walking, settling calmly around distractions, building confidence in new environments, and responding reliably to basic cues. These are the same core exercises required for therapy work and CGC/CGN testing, but they also prepare your dog to handle the real-world challenges of daily life with grace and confidence.
Beyond everyday manners, this training creates a solid stepping stone toward dog sports and other advanced activities, ensuring your dog can stay focused, engaged, and cooperative no matter the setting.
By the end of this course, you’ll have the tools to:

Are you overwhelmed trying to come up with or at a loss for new ideas to stimulate your furry friend’s little mind? Is the weather too hot or miserable outside but your dog has too much energy to stay inside? Well, it's time to unleash their inner Einstein with our class on teaching cognitive skills to dogs! We'll show you how to train your pup to read, yes READ! They'll be reading War and Peace in no time. Okay, maybe not War and Peace, but we'll definitely start with some basic words and build from there.
We'll also teach your furry friend how to discriminate shapes like a pro! No more confusing squares with circles or triangles with rectangles. Your dog will be able to identify THEIR shape with ease and find their target spot with precision each time – even lessen conflict over who gets which bed.
But that's not all! Your dog will also learn how to name their objects, precisely their toys like a champ. No more barking at the generic "ball" or "toy". Just ask your dog to get his XYZ to start the play. Plus they'll learn to show you which COLOUR you just asked for – of course, we’re only working with the colours our dogs have no difficulty differentiating. They do after all see colours differently to us humans.
We’ll also include some other brain cognition concepts as well for you to try out. These concepts are all about how our dogs learn in different ways as individuals and puzzle through everyday life.

OB135 TEAM Foundations Level 2

Have big obedience dreams, or want to dip your toe in and give obedience a try? This class will give you an excellent set of foundation skills for AKC, CKC, FCI obedience, or freestyle and it will help you prepare to earn your TEAM 1 title!
Start a new dog on the right foot or discover missing pieces in your training. This class is specifically designed to cover all the exercises in TEAM Level 1 and give you a tiny start for TEAM 2. The TEAM program lays out the building blocks for developing very solid behaviours that the dog can perform in a variety of unique presentations and all of the obedience venues!
The 10 skill areas assessed in TEAM include: Engagement and Focus, Recalls, Fronts, Distance work, Targeting, Jumping, Scent Work, and Impulse Control, Rear End Awareness aka Pivots and Stays.
Each individual exercise is broken down for you in manageable steps. Introducing all the core areas from the start makes sure that obedience remains fun for both the dog and the handler!
This is an introductory course and makes no assumptions about your dog's prior knowledge.
