Relaxation Protocol

originally developed by Dr. Karen Overall

Do you have a dog that gets over-excited, can't seem to relax, maybe is even a little, let's say, more assertive than you'd like them to be or even a little fearful. Perhaps the Relaxation Protocol would help.

This set of exercises developed by Dr. Karen Overall can help your dog to learn to relax in the presence of various stimuli that may cause them concern.  While it may seem that you're doing “sit” or “stay” training, this is not the purpose of these sessions at all. The purpose is to create a state of relaxation in your dog and having your dog learn to relax and defer to you in stressful situations.

Below you'll find the full written protocol along with worksheets and helpful audio files to play and follow along with. (15 Day Program)
