CONTINUING EDUCATION: Beyond Basics
WHAT’S NEXT?
When you have completed your Canine Manners Program classes and with the approval of your instructor, you are eligible to enter the Continuing Education program. There is no test at the end of the CMP, no pass or fail. A small percentage of students may not feel they are ready to comfortably move on to a wider range of specialty classes. If either you or your instructor feels you are not quite ready and need a bit more foundation, your options, depending on your goals are to do one or more of the following:o Repeat CMP (it will be good to refresh and be the best in class)
o Team Teaching (3 30-minute private lessons can do wonders to improve in a particular area)
o Brush up Courses (short courses concentrating on Come/Heel/Attention/Stay)HOW IT WORKS The Continuing Education classes continue to meet once a week. What follows is a brief listing of the current CE Beyond Basics courses. Any course marked CE101 has built-in brush up work to help build on the reliability and fluency needed for the new exercises. The fluency work includes heeling, come, stay and more clicker basics if necessary. The CE 101 classes also begin to add such exercises as “Leave It” and STAYS WITH MEGA DISTRACTIONS.
HOW TO SIGN UP If you are interested in a particular class please contact us to check for day, time and costs. Classes are offered based on demand /enrollment. If you don’t see a particular class listed or have an idea for a class let us know we can build any class you like. We’d be happy to set up a special class for you and a group of friends.
